No. The adjuster acts for your insurer. You can appoint your own loss assessor to prepare and negotiate the claim on your behalf at any stage, including after an offer has been made.
In most cases nothing, because the Professional Fees clause in your policy covers our costs as part of the claim. Where that clause does not apply, we set out our fee in writing before you appoint us. We never ask for an upfront payment.
Usually not. We regularly take on claims that have stalled, been under-scoped or been declined. As long as the claim is not fully settled and closed, there is normally something to argue.

We focus on major and complex losses because that is where a good assessor pays back many times over. For smaller losses we will still take the free review call and tell you honestly whether you need us.
It is a clause in most UK household and commercial policies that reimburses reasonable professional fees incurred in preparing and presenting a claim. It is one of the reasons appointing an assessor is often cost-neutral to the policyholder.
